There will be a dance this Friday at 6:30 in the cafe. Admission is $5.

 

It’s time to get ready for this year’s spelling bee! Classroom bees will be held the week before the holiday vacation! Pick up a study list outside Mrs Richardson’s room or see her for additional studying ideas!

Events:

 

On this day in 1777, after 16 months of debate, the Continental Congress agreed to adopt the Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union. It would take close to another four years before last of the 13 states, Maryland, ratified the agreement.

Build your own Nacho bar, seasoned brown rice, cheesy refried beans, chili rubbed sweet potatoes and fresh fruit.

 

Events:

 

On this day in 1969, Apollo 12, the second manned mission to the surface of the moon, launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. President Richard Nixon was there to view the liftoff, and became the first president to witness the launch of a manned space flight.

 

The School Store will not be open this week. It will be open next Tuesday, November 21st, from 8:30-11:30.

Events:

 

On this day in 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a simple V-shaped black-granite wall inscribed with the names of the 57,739 Americans who died in the conflict, was dedicated in Washington, D.C.

 

November 14 is World Diabetes Day, an annual observance marked all across the globe. The “Go Blue” campaign encourages supporters to do just that for the occasion: Dress in BLUE this coming Tuesday to bring attention to the challenges of living with diabetes and encourage support, knowledge and understanding of this chronic disease.
